On 27th November FFWU was invited as guest speaker at the seminar ‘Sport and Development’ at the DSHS Cologne. Our marketing manager Matthias Doherr presented our commitment and vision in Africa to 25 sport students to give them a general overview and explain our approach ‘football as a medium to share knowledge.’ Having introduced projects GCU Academy and Futebol da Forca, Florian Merker, who traveled to support the project in Mozambique during this year, followed with his report and the experience he gained during that time. Florian gave a detailed project description of Festa de Futebol and shared some of his personal experiences in Maputo, and of course talked about his current role in FFWU – more to come in the near future.
There was time for a brief but lively discussion with the students about requirements and problems of non-profit organizations in general and FFWU in particular.
