181Dear members, friends and everyone interested,
Exactly five years ago we founded Football for Worldwide Unity with 13 enthusiastic people from all walks of life. As some of you might remember and for all who don’t know the details our story began in South Africa in the Cape flats, where Sascha Bauer, our first chairman visited a local NGO project, the GCU Academy. Sascha saw an opportunity to help support and improve living conditions for children through football and FFWU was born.
With some pride we can now look back on many accomplished projects which enabled us to reach thousands of children and young adults.
This was only possible through the help of you! With all my heart I thank all members, project leaders and helpers, donors and everyone who has contributed in one way or another. Your generous donations and voluntary help made this possible and we look forward to new ventures over the next five years!
